My Experience

Jolene's approach comes from a blend of both academic and work experience. She began with a Biblical foundation, earning an Associates in Practical Theology from CFNI, and then blended that knowledge with psychological principles by earning a BAS in Psychology from DBU. She finished her formal education by earning an M.Ed. in Counseling from UNT and then became licensed as a professional counselor. She gained valuable knowledge and life experience throughout her educational journey and beyond through employment at a local church, as a therapist's assistant, at a psychiatric hospital, at a brain injury rehab, as a contract therapist in private practice, and volunteering and working with groups in non-profit organizations. She's been in the field in some capacity since 2004, fully licensed as a Texas LPC since 2008, and has had the privilege of realizing her dream to own her own private practice since 2014.
