Women's Wellness

Being a woman can be rewarding and empowering, but it can also come with unique emotional, relational, and life challenges. From navigating identity, relationships, career, motherhood, and life transitions to managing stress, expectations, and postpartum changes, you don’t have to navigate it all alone.

Being a woman can be amazing! It can also be bewildering and feel defeating or frustrating. Women tend to have higher levels of empathy, be more emotionally aware, try to multitask more often due to brain functioning, and be more prone to act out emotionally than men. Women contend with hormonal, social, spiritual and psychological challenges, including things like having a unique relationship with fear, pressure to care for everyone else, and insecurities that men don’t often experience or understand. Women face unique choices such as career status vs. level of involvement in motherhood.

For those who are mothers, several additional layers of potential problems are added. This could complicate a variety of life adjustment or mental health needs. It could also be the origin of mental health challenges, such as when dealing with post-partum symptoms. Common postpartum symptoms include feeling overwhelming, constantly questioning your ability to be a good mother, excessive guilt due to unreasonable expectations, not feeling “bonded” to or interested in your baby, lack of focus and concentration, being afraid to reach for help due to fear or being judged, thoughts of running away without your baby, or constant worry.

If any of this resonates with you and you are struggling with your identity or motivation or effectiveness as a woman and/or mother, we’re here for you. Together, we’ll find the underlying issues that are causing the disconnect and distress and create a path forward.
